MecWash Systems first met Davturn Turned Parts Ltd at MACH Exhibition, back in 2014. Davturn was looking to find a more efficient and operator-friendly component washing system to boost productivity. This lead Davturn to purchase a MecWash Mini, a fully refurbished machine originally built in 1997. MecWash has supported Davturn ever since.

Davturn is a family-owned company based in Bromsgrove, Worcestershire, specialising in providing superior machined parts to manufacturing sectors, including aerospace, defence, medical and motorsport.

“MecWash refurbished parts washers are sold having undergone a comprehensive service and refurbishment programme by our Engineers. Refurbished systems offer the perfect solution for sites that require a robust and high specification machine at a more affordable price,” said Paul.

Having seen demonstrations of various aqueous washing machines, Mathew Birley, director at Davturn, knew that Mecwash offered the perfect solution to meet their strict requirements.

Mathew comments: “At Davturn, we serve a wide range of industries and produce a variety of parts such as hydraulic fittings, fuel injection systems and even medical components like orthopaedic implants, prosthetics and bone screws. Precision cleaning is a vital part of the process. We have invested heavily in machine tools to manufacture these parts, and felt it was just as important in cleaning them to the same high standards.

“Many of the precision components we produce, have deep holes and require a high surface finish. The Mecwash system gives us the confidence that our precision parts are genuinely clean and in perfect condition for our customers. Before the MecWash system, we used a vapour degreaser which was not particularly versatile.

The MecWash Mini provided Davturn with the perfect solution to meet their requirements.
